Mom Arrested for Dragging Child Through Epcot

Just in: Mom Arrested for Dragging Child Through Epcot! ClickOrlando is reporting that a witness told deputies a woman dragged her child into an Epcot bathroom by a child harness. See the details here:

A woman dragged a child by a harness in a Walt Disney World bathroom then became combative and hit her head on a patrol vehicle when questioned about the incident, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they received a 911 call Tuesday night about someone, later identified as 34-year-old Sara Villar, yelling and dragging a child by a harness he or she was wearing. As a result of being dragged, the child hit his or her head on the floor of a bathroom at Epcot, according to authorities.

When deputies found Villar to question her about what witnesses reported, they said she told them, “I just want to leave the park” and refused to provide her name. She was pushing a baby stroller that had at least one child inside, according to the affidavit.

Villar became combative and turned the stroller “in an aggressive manner” that caused at least one child to fall out, the report said. Deputies continued to try to get Villar to calm down and identify herself, but when she refused, they escorted her to a patrol vehicle, which she struck with her head hard enough to leave a large dent, according to authorities.

Villar was arrested on charges of child abuse and criminal mischief. The child’s age and sex were not available.

We will bring you more details as they come in.

***UPDATE***

We have now found out more to this story. The mom was apparently was video taped screaming at her crying child outside of Mexico inside Epcot. She grabbed his harness and dragged him through the park to the bathroom where she was heard screaming again at the child.

When deputies arrived to question her, she became very combative and knocked her stroller over spilling the children to the ground.  Officers then cuffed her and placed her under arrest.  At this time she became enraged and struck the patrol car leaving a dent. She was arrested and her children were placed with local family.
