The year 2021 was supposed to have been a banner year for Walt Disney World. The Florida resort will mark its 50th anniversary in October, but the original plans are changing for the theme park resort. For starters, Epcot’s upcoming Moana attraction is now coming out in 2022 instead of this year.
In a recent interview with USA Today Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney parks confirms that Tron Lightcycle Run will not be open in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary in October of 2021.
The company’s 2021 plans, therefore, remain something of a mystery with most of the news focusing on all of the changes coming to Epcot for the anniversary such as Remy Ratatouille Adventure, Harmonious, and even Space 220.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana: This exploration trail will invite you to meet and play with magical, living water just like in Moana! You will also learn how to protect the natural water cycle in a fun and engaging way.
Among other Epcot plans: Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, is a walk-through trail with interactive water effects and displays.
We certainly look forward to the day when we can see the Moana-inspired water maze in person.
