Disney Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at Moana-Themed Splash Pad at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
Disney has offered a first look at the new Moana-themed splash pad coming to the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
Moana Splash Pad
The splash pad, set to open on December 17th, 2024, features a life-size sculpture of Moana on her outrigger canoe, positioned to face the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom.
The detailed sculpture showcases Moana wearing her iconic necklace holding the heart of Te Fiti. It’s a captivating centerpiece for the splash pad, which promises to be a fun and interactive space for young guests.

The Island Tower will incorporate other “Moana” theming throughout, including manta ray elements inspired by Grandma Tala in the resort’s porte cochere.
This new addition complements the existing Polynesian theme of the resort, adding a touch of adventure and magic for families and Disney fans of all ages.
