First Look at the Moana Themed HeiHei Cafe on the Disney Treasure

One of the dining options aboard Disney Cruise Line’s new Disney Treasure will be HeiHei Café, a charming eatery inspired by the lovable rooster from the Disney movie “Moana.”

Located on deck 4, midship, HeiHei Café overlooks the Grand Hall. The café’s ambiance is inspired by the ocean, with blue carpeting featuring floral and shell patterns. The flooring transitions to light-colored tile, leading to a counter with cushioned bar stools. Tall chairs line the central bar, and the furniture is designed using traditional Polynesian boat-building techniques.

To the left of the HeiHei Café sign, a sculpture of the mischievous rooster himself sits atop the bar. Seashell relief sculptures frame the sign, while the alcoves housing drinks and supplies are shaped like boats. Blue tiles on the front of the bar further enhance the ocean theme.

HeiHei Café will serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. The café will also offer a selection of snacks, perfect for a quick bite. Boat snack anyone?

moana show

A new Broadway-style stage show, “Disney The Tale of Moana,” will make its debut on the Disney Treasure, bringing the magic of the beloved film to the stage.

From the very first scene, this spectacular show takes you on a journey across land and sea, with set design and musical elements inspired by cultures of the Pacific Islands woven throughout, that inspires Moana’s classic tale. “An Innocent Warrior” begins the show with vibrant dance and songs in a mix of languages including Tuvaluan, Tokelauan and Samoan. The show also includes the first stage performance of the song, “Warrior Face,” inspired by traditional Haka.

Larger-than-life puppetry fills the Walt Disney Theatre stage throughout the show, including the largest puppet Disney Cruise Line has ever created in the massive, fiery Te Kā towering over the audience before eventually transforming into the gentle island goddess, Te Fiti. The show will feature several memorable songs from the film including, “How Far I’ll Go,” which is one of our favorites!
