With one-third of the waste in the United States coming from packaging, and only 30% of the waste going on to be recycled, Disney has announced that it’s inspiring kids to help protect the planet! It will be doing this with a first-of-its-kind toy package from the Moana doll, that transforms into the boat from the Disney’s newest feature film!
The Moana Doll Box is made with 70 percent recycled paper and printed with vegetable-based inks, the easy-to-open package was designed without tape or glue; allowing the pieces to separate easily. In addition to making it easier than ever to recycle, the box itself can be turned into a boat inspired by Moana’s journey, providing an added element of fun for parents and kids.
· The new ‘Classic Moana’ doll box was created with Disney’s SmartPackaging Initiative, a program dedicated to creating environmentally conscious product packaging to inspire the toy industry to make more Earth-friendly choices.
