When a Milledgeville, Georgia, family decided to surprise their daughter with a birthday cake from Dairy Queen, they had no idea what they were in for.
The birthday girl, 25-year old Kensli Davis, loves the movie “Moana” and was hoping to have a cake with her favorite princess on it. But when her mother called to order the cake, the baker mistakenly heard “marijuana” instead. The results? Hilarious.
The cake not only features an image of the five-fingered plant itself, but a “My Little Pony” character (complete with a marijuana tattoo on its hind leg) getting high as well. All this is framed by the words “Happy 25th Birthday Kensli.”
According to Davis’ Facebook page, “…my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana. (Because really I do) Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana.” Her post and the picture of the cake have been shared over fourteen thousand times since she originally posted it.
The unfortunate baker who made the error offered to redo the cake and make things right, but the Davises enjoyed the cake so much that they chose to decline her offer. In a recent interview with CNN, Davis said: “The whole family thought it was the funniest thing ever and said it would definitely [be] a birthday to remember.”
In truth, as long as it still tastes good, why waste cake? In the words of the birthday girl herself, “That ice cream cake was still good though.”
