Missing Marvel and Star Wars Titles From Disney+ Are On The Way

Missing Marvel and Star Wars Titles From Disney+ Are On The Way. Disney+ has a wide range of films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic. Though we are enjoying the wonderful title currently being offered, it seems fans are still disappointed that not all titles from Marvel or Star Wars are currently available to stream. This includes titles such as: Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Many of these titles are still under contract agreements with Netflix.

Currently, Disney+ will allow subscribers to view the trailers on these popular titles, as well as the ability to add them to their Watchlist for when they are added to the streaming site. The listing also include a special message from Disney about when subscribers will be able to enjoy these films. The message reads, “Coming Soon to Disney+. Due to existing agreements this title will be available on [Add Date]. Add to your Watchlist now.”

Speaking of those release dates, the films from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm are currently scheduled to appear on Disney+ on these dates according to Disney+:

  • Thor: Ragnarok – December 5, 2019
  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi – December 26, 2019
  • Black Panther – March 4, 2020
  • Avengers: Infinity War – June 25, 2020
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story – July 9, 2020
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp – July 29, 2020

Though these titles will be available within the next year on Disney+, Disney’s agreement with Netflix will mean they will return to Netflix some time before 2026, but if you download the titles when they become available you will still be able to access them even if they are removed from Disney+ while that agreement is met. Don’t worry! They will be back once the agreement is done.

If there are any other titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, or National Geographic that you wish were available, don’t fret! Disney+ has a nice feature that allows you to submit titles you would like to see added to the streaming service. Check out our article on how to request new titles on Disney+ by CLICKING HERE.
