U.S. active-duty military members, from all branches of the services, were treated to a special VIP preview of the new Toy Story Land. They posed with Disney Chairman Bob Chapek and actor Tim Allen following the dedication ceremony at Hollywood Studios. These military members and their families were among the first to experience the exciting new themed land as a special thank you for their sacrifice and service.
The military members and their families were able to meet the real-life Buzz Lightyear, Tim Allen, and also test out Toy Story Land’s two brand new attractions during their surprise visit.
The VIP military families raced around Andy’s backyard on Slinky Dog Dash.
Marine GySgt Harry Johnson and his daughter climbed aboard a rocket ship and swirled about trying to get caught by the ominous claw from the Toy Story movies. 
The special preview was a small way to thank and honor the military members and their families for their service and sacrifice, according to a Disney World spokesman.
Toy Story Land officially opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Saturday, June 30th.
