The show’s star Lauren Graham, told Comicbook.com at the start of season 2, “It was really fun. And not that last year wasn’t fun, but one of the unique things about this show is it’s sort of like a movie, in that you do have a different premise every year.” The show has undergone casting changes in only two seasons when Emilio Estevez left the show over stringent protocols associated with production amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
