Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party Planning Information! Everyone knows that Disney World is a magical place. Everyone knows that Christmas is a magical time of year. Put them together and you have Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party! Also known as MVMCP for short. If you’d have never been to MVMCP, then you must go this year. If you have been to. MVMCP, then you already know you must go again this year. Head to Magic Kingdom , park your sleigh -I mean car -, pass through security, walk under the railway trestle, and STOP. Stand absolutely still. Take a deep breath. Look all around. Look down Main Street, the castle is decorated in Christmas magnificence. Be present, in the moment, as you watch Disney snowflakes falling by the light of streetlamps. Smell the delicious scent of cookies wafting from Main Street Bakery. The sounds of Christmas music filling the air. The feeling is warm, happy, festive, and alive with the magic of Christmas. Watch with a smile as little ones reach out to catch a snowflake.
There’s an old song from Jerry Herman’s 1966 Broadway musical “Mame” called, “We Need a Little Christmas”. It was the start of people beginning to celebrate not just the day, but the Season of Christmas. Why? Because Christmas IS more than a day. It is a feeling. Nothing can bring that feeling to life better than MVMCP.
You just have to see “Mickeys Once Upon A Christmastime Parade”. Even parade watching is a unique experience. Who will be the 1st, in the crowd to say, ” Do You smell peppermint?”, as the floats go by. Yes, the scent of peppermint & gingerbread waft through the air. Best parade ever! Dancing gingerbread men, Toy Soldiers, your favorite characters decked out in their holiday finest. Yes even Santa himself makes an appearance. Let’s not forget the entertainment! “Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration” features Mickey and the gang singing holiday carols to get you in the spirit of the season. be sure to get there early as Anna and Elsa even get in on the fun, kicking off a “Frozen Holiday Wish”. Elsa herself turns Cinderella’s Castle into a glittering ice palace. Trust me this will have you oohing and awing for sure.
Lets not forget to discuss the fact there is free cookies and cocoa! You can also find rare characters like Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws, and Scrooge McDuck in their holiday attire, but only during this very special holiday party.
To end the night with a bang, holiday fireworks fill the sky. Something you cant just see during a regular night at Magic Kingdom. They are truly spectacular and worth the price of admission alone.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, a separate ticketed event , is held on the following nights: November 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 25, 27 and 29; and December 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21. Party takes place from 7 p.m.-midnight.
Do you love someone and just can’t think what to gift them this year? Buy them a ticket to MVMCP. Because “…we need a little happy. Happy ever after. We need a little Christmas now.”
