Christmas Comes Early: Magic Kingdom Hosts Daytime Parade Filming for ABC Special
Guests visiting Magic Kingdom today, Saturday, November 8, 2025 & Sunday, November 9, 2025, are in for a rare holiday treat: a special daytime performance of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

The parade will step off at 2:00 PM during regular park operating hours. This special showing is not a normal occurrence; the parade is typically exclusive to the separately ticketed Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party events until Christmas week. The performance is being held specifically for the production of the annual ABC Disney Parks Holiday Special.
The procession will follow the standard Magic Kingdom parade route, traveling from Frontierland through Main Street, U.S.A. Guests in the park today will have the opportunity to see the marching toy soldiers, gingerbread men, and Santa Claus as the scenes are filmed for broadcast.
The footage recorded today will be featured in the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, the Emmy Award-winning broadcast celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The special is set to air on Thursday, December 25, at 10 a.m. ET (check local listings for other time zones), and will feature performances and parade segments from Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Aulani.
