The big day has come and gone. Everyone’s favorite Mouse is 90 and the party was epic! Mickey Mouse was celebrated in Disney Parks everywhere with limited time merchandise and events…and even a surprise or two! ABC’s Good Morning America stunned one lucky fan with a whirlwind weeklong trip to every Disney Park around the world, and each day broadcast the party for viewers at home- showcasing what is new and unique at each location! Every Park had their own unique celebrations for Mickey’s birthday as well!
In Tokyo, celebrations included special merchandise, photo proof and in true Tokyo Disney fashion, out of this world celebrations treats!
Look at the size of that crowd in Hong Kong! Commemorative park tickets and special birthday stickers were offered as well as the “We Love Mickey” projection show which will run until February 2019).
Disney’s newest Park celebrated in a big way! At Shanghai Disneyland, a giant birthday card was featuring birthday wishes from Mickey’s pals. Guests also enjoyed themed food and merchandise offerings as well as the opportunity to sing “Happy Birthday” ending special night time birthday spectacular at Enchanted Storybook Castle.
At Disneyland Paris, guests can already enjoy the new “Mickey and his PhilharMagique Orchestra” show and watch Mickey Mouse play drums in “Mickey’s Christmas Big Band.”
Mickey’s original home naturally went big for the occasion. They kicked off celebration cavalcade for Mickey Mouse featuring some of his special friends and the Disneyland Band, starting at “it’s a small world” and pausing for a special moment at Sleeping Beauty Castle before continuing down Main Street, U.S.A., to Town Square. There were also treats galore and special merchandise to mark the momentous occasion.
Walt Disney World, of course, was in on the action. Multiple shows (including a special birthday dance party), merchandise, and treats came together for a weekend-long celebration.
The fun isn’t over though! Mickey’s birthday party is continuing well into 2019 with “The Worlds Biggest Mouse Party” bringing new events and attractions to celebrate Mickeys milestone birthday at every Park worldwide!
