The Mickey Shorts Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has recently reopened after a month-long refurbishment, welcoming guests back on May 25. Originally opened in 2020 alongside Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the theater occupies the space of the former ABC Sound Stage, and features the original “Vacation Fun” short that combines scenes from various modern Mickey Mouse shorts, offering a nostalgic look at Mickey’s past vacations.

The refurbishment is part of a broader initiative to update the entertainment venues at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Similar upgrades have been seen across the park; earlier this year, the Walt Disney Theater introduced new seating and carpet, and last year, Muppet*Vision 3D was enhanced with new upholstery.

With the Animation Courtyard theater also set for a refresh this fall to introduce “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” these updates are reflective of broadscale refurbishment initiatives across all 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
