Disney Character Meet & Greets (sightings) have returned to Walt Disney World after being suspended since the parks closed due to the pandemic in 2020.
Today while visiting the Magic Kingdom we were notified that the upcoming Disney Character Meet & Greets are now open so we dropped everything we were doing and headed to see Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater! (we will have the Disney Princesses coming soon)

Upon entering Mickey had a posted wait time of just 10 minutes! You can’t beat that! We were interested to see how Disney would be handling the new Character Meets at Walt Disney World.
Here is a look at the line to meet Mickey Mouse or the lack thereof. We waited maybe 5 minutes.
Mickey is roped off but you can take all the photos you want as you get a good minute or two with him. As you can see he is wearing his new Disney World 50th Anniversary outfit with a 50th Anniversary backdrop behind him. While you are unable to give him a hug or get an autograph we loved being able to spend time with Mickey Mouse once again!

We are unsure if this is a soft opening or if Disney has officially reopened Disney Character Meet & Greets at Disney World.
Sighting with Mickey at Town Square Theater is still listed as Returning November 2021 on the Disney World website.
