Guests can encounter these delightful creatures as they roam Discovery Island between Island Mercantile and Riverside Depot. The puppets, adorned in shades of white, blue, purple, and gold, include arctic foxes, reindeer, penguins, polar bears, and seals. Some of the larger animals require multiple puppeteers to operate, adding to the spectacle.

The Merry Menagerie performances occur periodically between 9:45 AM and 5:00 PM. With two rotating sets of animals, each encounter offers a unique and surprising experience for guests.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, live musicians accompany the puppets, playing holiday tunes as they wander through the area. Both the musicians and puppeteers are dressed in white outfits that complement the puppets’ wintery aesthetic.
Guests who wish to take home a piece of the magic can purchase their own plush penguin and polar bear puppets, available alongside other Merry Menagerie merchandise at Island Mercantile.
The Merry Menagerie is a delightful addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s holiday offerings, providing a captivating and interactive experience for guests of all ages.
