Disney’s Polynesian Resort welcomes you with a warm, “Mele Kalikimaka,” (Merry Christmas) as you step into its holiday paradise!
Tropical flowers and brightly colored ornaments cover the Christmas wreaths hung throughout the lobby. The beautiful tropic flowers help to create just the right theme.
The Christmas tree draws your attention right away with its pastel pink Hawaiian lei flowers and matching ornaments. It almost looks more like a tropical garden than a Christmas tree!
There are even pineapple ornaments! The Christmas tree is finished off perfectly with some classic clear lights strung around.
The rest of the lobby is also full of tropical Christmas fun! The lower lying ceilings are embellished with lighted garland full of the tropical flowers found elsewhere in the lobby. It adds to the colorful atmosphere.
We always enjoy the tropical theme of Christmas at this particular Disney Resort. We look forward to seeing if next year once the refurbishment of Disney’s Polynesian Resort is complete. Seeing the new Moana theme will add to the magic of the resort. In the meantime, we’ll continue to celebrate the Christmas festivities at Disney’s Magic Kingdom!
