Meet The Goodmans, a couple who love theme parks. This couple that has been married for 71 years and together for 73! They both love theme parks but for different reasons.
They were recently interviewed by Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. John shared that Katherine does not like to go on the rides at theme parks. However, she loves theme parks because everyone is in a good mood. It was shared that John is the adventurous one in the relationship. He has ridden Kumba over 300 times since it opened!
Kumba is a roller coaster at the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay that featured the world’s tallest vertical loop at the time when it opened in 1993. It was also, at one point, the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster in Florida. The happy couple had the opportunity to see the view from the top of Kumba and they enjoyed every minute of it. Even though Katherine does not like to ride roller coasters she loves getting to watch John enjoy himself as this makes her happy. When asked what the secret to marriage was, John stated, “Each one of us have to give in”. That is some smart advice right there! It seems that this theme-park loving couple has taken that advice to heart.
