Super Mario Invades McDonald’s Happy Meals with New Movie Tie-In Collectibles Starting March 26
Get ready to trade fries for fire flowers, because Mario and friends are powering up McDonald’s Happy Meals once again. Starting March 26, McDonald’s locations across the U.S. will roll out a brand-new promotion tied to the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, bringing a fresh batch of collectible character keychains to the kids meal lineup just in time for the film’s April 1 debut.

This time around, the toys are leveling up from simple figurines to clip-and-go keychains featuring a stacked roster of fan-favorite characters. Expect to see Mario, Luigi in his Frog Suit, Princess Peach, Bowser, and Toad, with additional characters like Rosalina and Bowser Jr. joining the cosmic party. It is a bigger, more galaxy-spanning lineup that reflects the expanded cast of the upcoming movie and gives collectors even more reasons to complete the full set.
Of course, this is not McDonald’s first warp pipe into the Mushroom Kingdom. The fast food giant has been teaming up with Nintendo since the early days of Super Mario Bros. 3 in 1990, and more recently with the Super Mario Bros. Movie toys and the Mario Kart 8 collection in 2024.

International locations are already showing signs of even more themed offerings, including special packaging and menu tie-ins, though those extras have not yet been confirmed for the U.S. Either way, between collectible keychains and a brand-new movie hitting theaters, Mario mania is about to be served hot and fresh, right alongside your nuggets.
