Here is a look at the expired codes one of our writers received. Funny how the coupon expired on 8/31/20 at 11:59pm.

Information from an internal document at McDonald’s share more about the error:

“There is an issue with the QR codes that are packaged with the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway toys. If the codes are scanned outside of our app (versus the McDonald’s app as directed), they may lead users to an error message, or in rare cases, unintended search results”.

The new toys with corrected game pieces will be arriving at McDonald’s very soon. Until then they are being told to use generic Happy Meals toys till the new ones come in.

  1. I’ve never encountered a problem with manually entering the codes although the date on the tickets were wrong. Online it shows it is valid and correct. The print is just mistyped on each ticket

  2. I just entered the code manually. Cause as t states on the happy meal box the contest has been extended to Jan. 2021

  3. The toys were to coincide with the opening of Runaway Railroad but then COVID happened and the toys were moved from a March release date to November.
