Mary Blair 50th Anniversary Banners are now on display in the Magic Kingdom. I don’t know about you, but I am tired of making the post saying “and now Cinderella Castle is done” being decorated for “The Worlds Most Magical Celebration”. Seriously, every time we think it is done, Disney Imagineers come up with something else that just adds to the magic. Last time it was after adding the 50 Icon to the front of the Castle.
This time it was adding Mary Blair inspire design banners to the outer Turrets and banner poles that lead up the entranceway. These banners have a vibe to them. I don’t know who mentioned it, but I agree, that they remind us of when the mice Gus and Jaq and family are creating Cinderella’s Dress. We think that to be true, for the fact of seeing on the 50 banners on the back turret has the 2 bluebirds flying.

The front banners feature 4 images each of Mary Blair scenes inspired from the actual movie Disney’s Cinderella. Her vision and artwork are so definite. Her version of the Castle is a standout, along with the carriage done in her style. Moreover, the stand out of the whole new addition is the colors. These rose gold additions really bring the whole courtyard and castle together in a harmonious pattern and color scheme.
