Marvel Studios VFX Company Confirms Artists Are Working On Marvel Films From Home. You may not be familiar with their name, but you have seen their movies! Scanline VFX, a veteran VFX studios, frequently works with Marvel Studios to bring audiences these superhero pact films and started working together all the way back at the beginning with the original Iron Man.
This has since lead the studio to work with Marvel on other MCU films including: The Avengers, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and currently working on Marvel’s Eternals.
With the shut down of many non-essential businesses, including film studios, Marvel Fans have been wondering what this will mean for upcoming MCU films such as Marvel’s Eternals, Black Panther 2, Spider-Man 3, Captain Marvel 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Thor: Love and Thunder, and many more.
Luckily, Scanline has made efforts to convert their usual studio workspace into “work from home” set ups for all 650 crew members.
Scanline president Stephen Trojansky shared a statement featured on their twitter page stating, “As of Monday, all 650 of Scanline’s crew across Los Angeles, Vancouver, Montreal, London, Munich, Stuttgart and Seoul studios are working successfully from home, transforming Scanline into a completely remote visual effects studio for the time being. From now on, not a single employee needs to set foot into a physical office location, making us independent of local government restrictions and lockdowns while providing a safe and healthy working environment for all crew.”

Scanline continued, “As we move into the weeks and months ahead, we are here to support our clients and the wider VFX community. Shows in the pipeline will continue as normal but we are also open for new projects and can expand our home setup capacity as needed…We are extremely proud of the way our teams have come together and adapted during this challenging time. The feedback we have received from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive as we transition in to this new, fully decentralized workflow.”
It is evident that the entertainment industry is a luxury, not an essential service. It is wonderful to see the studio is making sure they provide safe and comfortable arrangements for their team of artists during this uncertain time. As a fan, it is great to see the dedication to get projects that have completed filming done in a timely manner to, hopefully, reduce the risk of delays when it comes to pre-scheduled theatrical release dates that way audiences can be entertained once more when the world returns to normal.
