Marvel Studios Kevin Feige Confirms they are Moving Forward with ‘Nova’ Film or Series

Marvel Studios Kevin Feige Confirms they are Moving Forward with ‘Nova’ Film or Series. According to The Illuminerdi, Marvel Studios is gearing up to introduce a new character into the MCU. Marvel Comic fans were ecstatic to hear that Marvel Studios CCO, Kevin Feige, is preparing to bring Richard Rider, aka Nova, into the mix. Potentially as a Disney+ series or Feature film in Phase 5 of the MCU.

“We love Nova, it would be cool,” Feige said during an interview with ComicBook. Feige was also asked if there is still potential for the character to which he immediately replied, “Yes, still true. That’s still true.”

“Nova is… if we have a big board with a bunch of characters that have more immediate potential, Nova is on that board,” Feige said. “Because of the connection to the Guardians universe, because there are more than one examples to pull from in the comics that are interesting. And you’re absolutely right, he was in the earliest drafts of the [Guardians of the Galaxy].”

“Randomly chosen to become a member of the Nova Corps until the Annihilation Wave destroyed them all, leaving him imbued with their combined power and guided by the super-intelligent Worldmind computer, Richard Rider wages a one-man battle for justice as Nova.”

Likely, if the Studio is moving forward with a Nova film or series we will see a hint in one of the post credit scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or possibly see the character introduced in the film itself, though a post credit scene is more likely.
