Marvel Studios’ Confirms ‘Eternals‘ Will Premiere Exclusively in Theaters. Disney and Marvel Studios have confirmed the remaining titles of 2021 will premiere exclusively in theaters, with a subset of titles scheduled to release via theaters and via Disney+ Premier Access in 2022. After the historic success of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings premiere over Labor Day Weekend it comes as no surprise that Disney has opted to keep the remaining 2021 movies in theaters for the holiday season.

As questions and concerns began surfacing online about the premiere plan for the film Disney has doubled down on sharing that movies such as Marvel’s Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Encanto, and more will only premiere in theaters. It is currently unknown if the Scarlett Johannson Black Widow Lawsuit influenced the decision for Disney.
