Captain America: Brave New World Stars Take Flight at Nellis Air Force Base

Marvel Studios is ramping up excitement for “Captain America: Brave New World” with the release of photos and footage from a special press day at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Stars Anthony Mackie and Danny Ramirez, along with director Julius Onah and producer Nate Moore, were on hand for the event, which included a thrilling jump from a HC-130J Combat King II aircraft by Mackie himself.

Mackie, who plays Captain America, took to the skies with pararescuemen from the 58th Rescue Squadron, the very unit his character, Sam Wilson, served in. The tandem jump from nearly 13,000 feet provided a powerful and personal connection to the role, adding another layer of authenticity to the film’s portrayal of Sam Wilson’s background.

“Captain America: Brave New World” sees Sam Wilson navigating a complex international incident after a meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross. As he delves deeper, he uncovers a sinister global conspiracy and must race against time to expose the true mastermind before they plunge the world into chaos.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford. Julius Onah directs, with Kevin Feige and Nate Moore producing. Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Rob Edwards and Malcolm Spellman & Dalan Musson and Julius Onah & Peter Glanz with story by Rob Edwards and Malcolm Spellman & Dalan Musson.

While Mackie’s high-flying adventure was a highlight, the press day also included appearances by Danny Ramirez, director Julius Onah, and producer Nate Moore, all contributing to the buzz surrounding the upcoming Marvel release.
