I’m always game for animated superhero films. They’re a fun sub-genre that has become very popular lately, thanks to the DC Animated Films by Warner Premiere. Marvel hasn’t had too many of these animated films, but it looks like they’re about to jump back into the game with a new film, and it looks like it’s going to be something exciting. The new film is titled ‘Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United’, which will, as the title suggests, see two of Marvel’s most popular characters, Hulk and Iron Man, in a team up film which puts them together against a common enemy. The film is a CGI film, a first for Marvel Animation, who had been doing hand drawn animation up until this point. I actually really like the look of it from the screen captures so far, so I can’t wait to see how this turns out. Hit the jump for more pictures to get a look at the film, as well as the synopsis for it.
The film’s official plot is as follows, courtesy of Marvel Animation:
The Invincible Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk join forces to save the Earth from its greatest threat yet! When two Hydra scientists try to supercharge a Stark Arc Reactor with Hulk’s Gamma Energy, they unleash a being of pure electricity called Zzzax – and he’s hungry for destruction. Together, Iron Man and Hulk are the only force that stands in the way of the Zzzax’s planetary blackout. But first the super heroic duo will have to get through snarling Wendigos, deadly robots and the scaly powerhouse, Abomination. Can two of Marvel’s mightiest heroes find a way to work together without smashing each other before time runs out?
Sounds pretty exciting, doesn’t it? I’m really looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I’ve liked all the previous Marvel animated features up until this point, so I’m hoping this will also be the case. The film will feature two actors who have done previous voice work for their popular characters. Adrian Pasdar, who is best known for his role in ‘Heroes’, who will be voicing Tony Stark in the film. This isn’t Pasdar’s first time voicing Stark, as he also did the voice for him in the Marvel Anime series, ‘Iron Man’. Also returning to the Marvel universe is Fred Tatasciore, who has voiced the Hulk before in ‘Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’, the recently finished popular Disney XD series. It’s good to see these popular voice actors returning to the roles, which makes me look forward to the film anymore.
