Besides Secret Invasion, Martin Freeman will also appear in the upcoming sequel to the 2018 movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
A release date for Secret Invasion has yet to be announced, but it’s one of the many Disney+ shows that Marvel has in the works. Hopefully, we will hear an announcement regarding the release date at SDCC this month!
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced Secret Invasion during 2020’s Walt Disney Investor Day event as part of the MCU’s upcoming Disney+ lineup. The show will be based on the popular Marvel comic event and will focus on “a sect of Skrulls who have infiltrated every level of life on Earth.” Already confirmed to appear in the show are Jackson, reprising his long-time role as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn, reprising his role as the Skrull Talos from Captain Marvel, Cobie Smulders, reprising her role as Agent Maria Hill, and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, whose character has not yet been revealed.
Samuel L Jackson suggested back in March that Don Cheadle would also feature in the project, but that actor’s involvement has not been officially confirmed yet.
MCU characters will need to find out who they can trust in Secret Invasion!
