Martin Freeman will be joining the Marvel Studios’ cast in the upcoming film, Captain America: Civil War. Although Marvel still has not released what Freeman’s role is, he will be working with Chris Evans, who is back as Capt. America.
Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and producer of the films said “Martin’s range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us,” Freeman is a familiar face in and well-known for his roles as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit and his Emmy award-winning role as Dr. Watson in the BBC series, Sherlock.
Capt. America: Civil War starts up where Age of Ultron ends and forces the superheroes to choose sides between Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) or Captain America as the two battle each other.
