Mark Ruffalo Is Not Sure If 'Hulk' Will Return To The MCU

Mark Ruffalo Is Not Sure If ‘Hulk’ Will Return To The MCU. On Friday, Mark Ruffalo (Hulk/Bruce Banner) guest starred on The Graham Norton Show alongside David Schwimmer, Nick Mohammed, and Tamsin Greig. The Marvel Actor shared his embarrassing story about how he accidentally live-streamed the intro of Thor: Ragnarok at the world premiere of the film, which led to more discussion about his role as The Hulk/Bruce Banner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Graham candidly asked Ruffalo if he would be in any more movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to which Ruffalo replied, “I don’t know.” As soon as he said those words his eyes went wide, Ruffalo covered his mouth, not quite sure he should have shared that information with the world.

Though it is far from a “spoiler” and not much can be determined by his answer, Ruffalo does make it is clear that Marvel Studios has not openly shared their plans for The Hulk or Bruce Banner in the future of the MCU. One reason being that Mark Ruffalo is notorious for revealing spoilers in the MCU, partly because he is not fully aware of what has been shared and what has been determined to be kept a secret. Mark is not the only actor that frequently lets spoiler slip in interviews. Norton and Ruffalo even joked in the episode about Tom Holland (Spider-Man/Peter Parker) also being a common spoiler for Marvel with Ruffalo claiming “I taught [Tom Holland] how to do that!”

At the end of Avengers: Endgame only Hawkeye, Thor, and Hulk/Banner remained out of the original Avengers characters, and with Thor and Hawkeye’s futures fairly set with Thor: Love and Thunder and the new Hawkeye Series coming to Disney+, it does beg the question: “What about Hulk?” Though Marvel has announced the development of She-Hulk for Disney+, which will introduce Bruce’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, to the MCU, there is no indicator that Mark Ruffalo will be tied to the project in any way other than by character associate.

Do you think Avengers: Endgame was the last time we will see The Hulk/Bruce Banner? What other Marvel projects would you like to see Mark Ruffalo return in? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Marvel!
