Mark Ruffalo Congratulates Scarlett Johansson on the Successful Premiere of Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Widow‘. After surpassing $215 Million at the box office and becoming the fourth highest-grossing film over opening weekend for Marvel Studios, fellow Avenger Mark Ruffalo took to social media to congratulate his “birthday twin” Scarlett Johansson on the massive success of Black Widow.

Ruffalo posted a photo of him and Scar Jo backstage of Avengers: Infinity War along with the caption, “Congratulations to my birthday twin, Scarlett Johansson & everyone a part of #BlackWidow for a great opening weekend! Have you seen the film yet? No spoilers, but let me know what you thought of the movie ?”

The Walt Disney Company announced this week that Marvel Studios’ Black Widow debuted to an estimated total of more than $215M globally this weekend, including $80M in domestic box office, $78M in the international box office, and over $60M in Disney+ Premier Access consumer spend globally.
The film garnered several notable achievements in its opening weekend, including:
- Black Widow is the largest domestic box office opening since the COVID-19 pandemic began and the largest domestic opening weekend since Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker in December 2019.
- The combined theatrical and Disney+ Premier Access opening makes Black Widow the only film to surpass $100M in domestic consumer spend on opening weekend since the start of the pandemic.
- It is the highest domestic opening weekend for a Marvel Cinematic Universe origin story after Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
