Actor Adam Driver celebrates his 38th birthday this week! Star Wars fans will remember him as playing Kylo Ren, but fellow Star Wars actor, Mark Hamill, prefers to acknowledge him as being a kind-hearted friend! The two worked together in the most recent trilogy of films set during the Skywalker Saga.
Mark Hamill gave the following birthday wish to Adam Driver:
“SHOUT OUT to Adam Driver for no particular reason other than being a spectacular actor, a wonderful human being, as well as a driver of small cars & finder of lost dogs.”

Both Hamill and Driver went viral back in 2019 for teaming up to find a missing dog. Leos Carax was directing Annette on location in Brussels when his dog Javelot ran off after being frightened by the traffic in the area. Driver enlisted the help of Hamill to spread the word and bring Javelot home. Thankfully, those pleas were answered because Javelot was reunited with Carax during the production.
While some fans have issues with Luke’s characterization in The Last Jedi, it’s pretty hard to deny the complexity of Kylo Ren. Adam Driver gives a compelling performance playing the estranged and troubled character.
