The Force works in mysterious ways for actor Mark Hamill. The Star Wars legend returns to Jack in the Box for a hilarious commercial after he shared his story about being fired by them when he was a college student.
When he attended Los Angeles City College, Mark Hamill worked at his local Jack in the Box after school. That is, until they fired him for talking to customers in a creepy clown voice. Mark saw it at as a humorous way to entertain himself and the customers, but his supervisor felt different about it.

In “The Return of Mark Hamill,” directed by Brendan Gibbons and produced by Station Film, the Star Wars icon enthusiastically returns to Jack in the Box to take orders from a few unsuspecting fans. History appears to repeat itself as Hamill’s need to entertain seemingly outweighs any desire to serve customers quickly. Still, the brand sees Hamill’s brief and spirited return to fast food as a fitting representation of an epic comeback.
Not only is the fast food chain re-launching their classic spicy chicken strips and French toast sticks, but they’re also “bringing back Mark Hamill for a limited time!” with his new comeback campaign with the brand.
It’s no surprise his clown impersonations at Jack in the Box ultimately led him down an illustrious acting career path — and back to the very restaurant chain that rejected his goofiness.
