The Mandalorian and Grogu Cast & Creators Make Surprise Disneyland Appearance

Disneyland guests visiting Black Spire Outpost yesterday, got the shock of a lifetime when the cast and creators of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu made a surprise appearance right inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! On hand for the epic surprise were actors Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, alongside Director Jon Favreau and the President and CCO of Lucasfilm himself, Dave Filoni.

The highlights of the day kicked off at the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Pedro Pascal absolutely thrilled unsuspecting Disneyland park guests by dropping in on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run! Imagine getting ready to fly a smuggling mission and looking up to see Mando himself guiding your crew.

After taking the Falcon for a spin, the star-powered group headed out into the park to pose for an iconic photo op alongside the Mandalorian and Grogu, right in front of the Millennium Falcon.

This surprise visit wasn’t just for fun—it is building up massive hype for a brand-new experience coming to the parks.

Beginning May 22, 2026, a completely new mission featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu will debut aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort! This exciting ride update perfectly coincides with the theatrical and IMAX premiere of Lucasfilm’s new film, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.

To cap off an already unforgettable day, the cast and creators stayed into the evening to celebrate the upcoming movie release with a viewing of the brand-new nighttime experience, “The Curious Child.”

Playing for a limited time immediately following “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga,” this nightly spectacle uses stunning projection effects to transform the rocky spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon. Guests get to watch as Grogu tests his powers to recall fond memories of his wildest adventures with Mando.
