Making the Most of Counter Service Dining – Downtown Disney Area

Earl of Sandwich, a quick service restaurant at Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World, is a popular fast-food stop.

By now, I’ve written how to make the most of your counter service dining at all the Disney theme parks.  Now, it’s time for the Downtown Disney area.  Downtown Disney is home to my all time favorite counter service dining location on property-Wolfgang Puck Express.  While Downtown Disney can be a great place to grab souvenirs and use some snack credits, eating a meal at some of the following locations is also a must!

Wolfgang Puck Express-Wood fired pizza, pastas, salads….tortilla soup, sandwiches, even breakfast!  This counter service location has a HUGE menu.  Love it!  Also, talk about variety.  The pizzas can be made almost any way you’d like-bbq chicken pizza, margherita pizza, four cheese pesto pizza, my mouth is watering just thinking about eating there!

Earl of Sandwich – If you’re in the Downtown Disney area for breakfast, you could use a meal credit here at Earl of Sandwich.  My personal favorite here is the Caprese Sandwich, and a close second is the Earl’s Club Sandwich.  Not only can you get sandwiches here, but you can also get salads and sides.   If a sandwich is too heavy for you, try some soup or a Chicken Caesar Wrap.

Cooke’s of Dublin – Irish favorites are all over the menu here.  Fish and chips, Atlantic scallops, chicken, lamb, or beef pies.  You’ll find tons of great food here.  It makes a nice stop during a busy day.  You’ll find Cooke’s of Dublin on the Pleasure Island side of Downtown Disney.

Pollo Campero – At Pollo Campero, the main offering is chicken.  However, some dishes have a Latin twist to them.  Sweet plantains and citrus grilled chicken can give you some variety to your eating at Downtown Disney.

Fresh A Peel – Here you’ll find foods with an all natural approach.  All natural burgers and hot dogs are at the top of the menu.  However, there are also six salads to choose from.  From the Skirt Steak Salad, to the Citrus Grilled Chicken Chop Salad, or the Albacore tuna salad, you’re sure to find something you like.  Also, the salads can be served on a whole grain tortilla wrap.  Just ask them!

When shopping at Downtown Disney, where do you like to stop and refuel?

Magically Yours,

Carrie of My Favorite Finds

  1. Don’t forget the great Cuban coffee that they serve at the walk up window at Bongo’s. They have a few snacks there as well, but when I see Cuban coffee, I don’t see much else 🙂
