If you have been at Magic Kingdom waiting for the 3 O’Clock Parade in the rain, you may have been disappointed to hear an announcement that the parade has been cancelled. But then immediately after that announcement you may pleasantly surprised when the Magic Kingdom Rainy Day Cavalcade showed up instead! Disney knows that you are there for the magic and celebrations, and the 3 O’Clock parade is one of those things that guests always count on, so since the characters don’t like to get wet, they found another way to bring some fun to Main Street in the rain!
The characters ride out in covered vehicles so they stay dry, and the dancers all don raincoats and rain boots as they walk and dance along with the covered vehicles, and they even sing a special rainy day song to make everyone smile! It’s better than no parade at all, right? Aw heck, we think it’s a special experience that not every guest has the chance to see, so make sure to soak it all up!
Check out the video below for a sneak peek of the special rainy day parade:
A very special thanks to Chip & Co. fan Cindy Davis for the photos of today’s Cavalcade!
