This week, boat service between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Magic Kingdom is temporarily paused due to refurbishment work on the Grand Floridian boat dock. While this beloved mode of transportation takes a brief break, guests can still enjoy other convenient ways to travel between the resort and Magic Kingdom.

For those who love a leisurely stroll, the walkway connecting the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom remains open. This scenic 10-minute walk is about 3/4 of a mile and offers beautiful views as you head toward the park. Alternatively, the resort monorail is fully operational, providing a quick and direct route to Magic Kingdom, ensuring that guests can still reach the magic without any hassle.

The boat service is expected to be back by the end of the week, with regular operations resuming shortly after. In the meantime, guests heading to Disney’s Polynesian Resort can rest easy, as boat service to and from the Polynesian remains unaffected and continues as usual. Enjoy the views of Seven Seas Lagoon, whether you’re cruising or walking your way to Magic Kingdom!
