Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade Confirmed to Return for 2026 Holiday Season
It may still be spring on the calendar, but Disney is already making spirits bright for the 2026 holiday season. A new casting notice from Disney Live Entertainment confirms that Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will return to Magic Kingdom for this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, giving fans an early sign that one of Walt Disney World’s most beloved holiday traditions is coming back down Main Street, U.S.A.

The new notice is specifically seeking inline roller skating performers local to the Orlando area, which likely points to the return of the parade’s Frozen unit, where skaters have appeared in previous years. Disney is looking for dynamic performers with skating experience who are comfortable performing choreography on wheels, including spins and edging. While this is not exactly shocking news given the parade’s longtime status as a Very Merry staple, it is the first official confirmation that the festive favorite will be back for 2026.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade has long been one of the crown jewels of Disney’s holiday entertainment lineup, featuring toy soldiers, gingerbread-inspired floats, Disney characters in their Christmas best, princesses, Santa Claus, and even snowfall on Main Street. In other words, the holly-jolly magic is gearing up once again, and it sounds like Disney is wasting no time getting the season’s merriest pieces into place.
