Anyone who considers themselves to be a fan of the Haunted Mansion needs to haul themselves over to the Magic Kingdom as soon as possible. The most fantastic item has just materialized on shelves in Memento Mori. It’s a snow globe version of Madame Leota in her crystal ball!
At $54.99, this is no cheap theme park souvenir. It is a collector’s item. A heavy piece meant to make a statement in your home, it’s also fun and has some great details in it. Madame Leota is her signature color of blue. Once shaken, the globe swirls with bits of glitter. Could this be how she summons the spirits? “Serpents and spiders, tail of a rat, call in the spirits, wherever they’re at!”
The base of the snow globe has the Haunted Mansion’s sign on the front, Hitchhiking Ghosts on one side, the Graveyard Caretaker and his dog on the other, and an entrance to the crypt on the back. Such a spooky and well-made piece!
Madame Leota is an iconic character from the Haunted Mansion. Her backstory varies from park to park, but it is generally accepted that she is either a witch or a medium who can contact the dead. Leota was originally modeled after Leota Toombs, for whom she was named, and voiced by Eleanor Audley, who was also known for voicing Maleficent and Lady Tremaine in the original Disney classics.
