The Jungle Book doesn’t get nearly enough love around Walt Disney World. The classic tale of a boy being forced into civilized manhood after being raised by wild animals was originally a book by Rudyard Kipling. It has also been made into both an animated film and a live-action film by Disney. And now, happily, it has inspired a cupcake in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Head over to Creature Comforts (Starbucks) to find this adorably unique little cake. It’s a chocolate cupcake with a banana-flavored filling and crispy chocolate pearls to add a bit of crunch! On top, a white chocolate disc “bears” Baloo’s likeness, and is nestled atop a mound of green leafy frosting. He may sing “I Wanna Be Like You” but there’s no one I would rather see on this cupcake than that cute grass-skirt-wearing bear!

It’s a beautiful cupcake to look at. But does the taste hold up? We think so! Chocolate and banana are a great flavor combination. The filling helps the cupcake to have a lighter taste, while the crunchy pearls add texture. Disney cupcakes may be common, but sometimes they’re worth stopping for. This is probably one of those cupcakes if you’re a fan of bananas! If you’re in it for the chocolate, I’d suggest you check the case for one of their brownies instead.
