According to sources close to thedisinsider.com, Disney’s next live-action remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is set to begin filming in Vancouver, Canada sometime in March 2020. The film is said to be directed by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) with Erin Cressida Wilson (The Girl on the Train) penning the script. Marc Platt (Mary Poppins Returns) will act as producer for the remake. Oscar-winning songwriters, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, will be creating new music for the film, similarly to their work with Disney Legend Alan Menken in Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin.

For those who may not be familiar with the 1938 Disney Classic, here is a synopsis of the film: “Released in 1938, The Grimm fairy tale gets a Technicolor treatment in Disney’s first animated feature. Jealous of Snow White’s beauty, the wicked queen orders the murder of her innocent stepdaughter, but later discovers that Snow White is still alive and hiding in a cottage with seven friendly little miners. Disguising herself as a hag, the queen brings a poisoned apple to Snow White, who falls into a death-like sleep that can be broken only by a kiss from the prince.”
