Did you know you can now link your Disney World Ride photos to your Magic Bands? It is pretty easy… You will need to have a Memory Maker Package and Magicbands linked to your My Disney Experience account, in order to have your attraction/ride photos show up on your account.

There is no need to scan your Magic Band at the counter after you leave the ride. Your Magic Bands will be read by a long range RFID reader which will then link your photos to your account. How easy is that?

You can use this feature at select locations:

Magic Kingdom

Epcot

Hollywood Studios

Animal Kingdom

  1. Good to know, thanks!

We won’t be going back for a while (unfortunately!) so I’m sure they’ll have any bugs worked out by next time we are there. I’m sure I’ll still be paranoid and write down the photo number on each one in case something goes missing though, especially since we are in the process of adopting through foster care so the next trip will be our first trip as parents! I’m going to want every picture possible 🙂

  2. Thanks for the info… that’s borderline stalker-ish, but if I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t think Disney was already tracking my every move anyway, lol.

  3. If my party separates, will this work for everyone in my group? If I go to Epcot, can my daughter go to Magic Kingdom and it works for both of us?

  4. Does anyone know how this will *really* work?

Will you end up with photos of everyone who rode about the same time/ in the same vehicle or what? Previously you’d look for your picture, make a note of the number, and go up to a CM who pulls it up on the screen and then you tap your band and they confirm. Similar to if you were buying a print individually. If there is no confirmation, how will you KNOW its been added / the correct photo has been added?

We just were down there a month ago and had the memory maker so we took full advantage, grabbing ride photos for every ride we rode, no matter how many times we rode it or if we loved the picture (figured they were already included so we might as well have them to look at closer later) and we made sure to snag photos of others in our group as well, even if they ended up in other cars and were not part of our actual reservation. (Is that cheating? I feel like it might be cheating, but whatever, I wasn’t about to share a hotel room with my in-laws for a week just for some photos either, haha)
