I don’t know about you but I’ve had a little extra time on my hands and more time to cook and bake at home. Being from New England Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom is a little slice of home with its colonial setting and hearty homestyle cooking. One of my favorites here would have to be the Liberty Tree Tavern Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. It is blissfully delicious. So satisfying. So if you are like me and have more time to make some baked goods and looking for some comfort food this is a good choice and actually easy to recreate.

Directions:
Set the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9X13 baking pan for your cake mixture to go in.
Melt one stick of butter. Mix the cake mix with the melted butter and one egg. Then you will want to pour this mixture into the pan and press evenly over the bottom of the pan.
Next, you will make the second layer by beating the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until it is smooth. Beat in the eggs and vanilla into the cream cheese. After that, you are going to want to slowly add in the powdered sugar, only adding a cup at a time until blended well. Pour in the melted stick of butter over mixture and mix. Add in the chocolate chips and heath bar and gently fold that int the mixture. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom mixture.
You will bake this for about 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees until the edges are crispy and the middle is soft and gooey but not runny. Let it sit for a bit before cutting it. Top with some vanilla Icecream and chocolate and caramel sauce and sprinkles or more heath bar and chocolate chips if you like. You will eat every last bite it is that good!
