If Fantasyland isn’t your thing, you’re looking for the next big thing at Disney and the rumor mill is reporting about Marvel. Imagine Tomorrowland transforming into the Stark Expo! Tomorrowland was made to debut the most up and coming technology and Disney now owns Marvel…the possibilities seem endless, as do the rumors.
Of course nothing is as simple or seamless as it seems; particularly for Walt Disney World. With Universal Studios being so close and featuring the same characters…will the Mouse overpower the Globe and take over the Marvel characters?
Which brings us to these facts and questions:
1. There is a lot of money in Marvel, which Disney now owns; what are they going to do about it?
2. “The Avengers” is being released next summer…seems like a great time to coincide with a park transformation…but is it feasible?
3. Tomorrowland in Disneyland and Innoventions in Epcot could use an update…why not the Stark Expo?
4. Disney recently reclaimed Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (Walt’s original character who’s rights were stolen) so negotiations between the Mouse and the Globe are possible…but will they be willing to let something as big as Marvel go?
So here we are left with speculation and questions, and a lot of exciting possibilities. How do you feel about super heros in your Disney parks?

I think Marvel would be a better fit at DHS, which is sorely lacking on attractions anyway. A superhero stunt show to take over Indy would be great, as would a hard-core dark thrill ride. Tomorrowland just seems like a really, really bad fit to me.
I am hoping for Marvel to be included at HS. It needs more attractions, in my opinion. For my family, it’s a half day park. I think it would be the best fit for super-heros, too. I can’t imagine Disney not including them at some point, since they spent all the money to buy Marvel!

Melissa, I felt that way for a long time, and eventually I couldn’t put it off anymore and my husband and step-son dragged me (kicking and screaming) into the comic book world. With my step-son, nephews and brother-in-laws it’s my lot in life to be abreast of all the “boy stuff”. While I don’t want to see Iron Man stepping on Rapunzel I wouldn’t mind a new adventure at the parks. I think it would mean a lot less griping from the male population in the long run and would round out the experience. I wish they would do something with Innoventions in Epcot….it’s not so…innovative anymore! Plus….if the Stark Expo comes to Disney, maybe Robert Downey Jr. will too 🙂 (that’s my dream…don’t snatch it from me!)
I don’t want Marvel superheroes ANYWHERE near Magic Kingdom or Epcot! That would be such a betrayal in my mind! If they belong anywhere… stick em in Hollywood Studios– afterall its the park most often compared to Universal anyways. Six Flags always seems so mediocre compared to Disney and they often have superheroes roaming. Idunno about anyone else but leave me my princes!!
