The Walt Disney Company will be celebrating its 100th anniversary and a new rumor suggests LEGO will be making collectibles for this monumental event.
According to 9to5toys, the LEGO Group and Disney will be teaming up once again for a celebratory 100-year anniversary collection known by index number (71038). The entertainment giant will be celebrating this milestone in 2023 with a year-long 100 Years of Wonder event, so it certainly makes sense that a forthcoming LEGO mystery bag series could tie into the festivities.

It’s expected that the special set, likely consisting of 12 minifigures, will focus on characters from across Disney’s history of animated films. We expect a mystery bag of mini-figures similar to the Muppets collection that released a few months ago.
It’s possible that further details regarding Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder celebrations could be revealed at this year’s D23 Expo in Anaheim. Now the real question remains… Which characters do you think we’ll see in such a mini-figure set?
