Lars Mikkelsen Confirmed to Play Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars: Ahsoka
Lars Mikkelsen has signed on to play Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars: Ahsoka Disney+ Series. Lucasfilm announced the exciting News on Saturday as part of the Star Wars Celebration fan event in London.

Mikkelsen voiced Grand Admiral Thrawn in the Star Wars Rebels animated series. He joins Katee Sackoff who plays Bo-Katan Kryze in both the Animated Star Wars Show and also on the Mandalorian.

The idea of Grand Admiral Thrawn stepping into live action was first suggested in Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” in the episode that first introduced Rosario Dawson as the Jedi warrior Ahsoka Tano, one of the lead characters from Filoni’s “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated TV series. In that episode, Ahsoka demands another character tell her where to find Thrawn, though the answer was never revealed.
Ahsoka is coming to Disney+ this August!
