A Kid’s Guide to Ride Restrictions at Walt Disney World

A Kid's Guide to Ride Restrictions at Walt Disney World

For us having a six-year-old comes with its own sets of challenges. Little guys and gals are starting to develop independence and  desire to be bigger. Nothing is more heart breaking than seeing your little one get their heart set on riding a ride at Disney World only to see them walking away with their head hung low because they were to small for that specific ride or attraction.

We have put together this list of Ride Restrictions at Walt Disney World so you can better prepare for which rides to shoot for and which ones to avoid. So grab your tissues and your shoe lifts and let’s venture forth.

Little Riders must be at least 38″ to ride

Little Riders must be at least 40″

Little Riders must be at least 44″

Little Riders must be at least 48″

Little Riders must be at least 52″

Are you Headed to the Water Parks?  They have their own restrictions as well!

Under 48″

  • T-Bar – Blizzard Beach – Ski Patrol Training Camp
  • Tike’s Peak – Blizzard Beach – Children’s Area
  • Cross Country Creek – Blizzard Beach
  • Ketchakiddee Creek – Typhoon Lagoon – Children’s Area
  • Keelhaul Falls – Typhoon Lagoon
  • Mayday Falls – Typhoon Lagoon

32″

  • Chair Lift

48″

  • Crush ‘n Gusher – Typhoon Lagoon
  • Humunga Kowabunga – Typhoon Lagoon
  • Downhill Double Dipper – Blizzard Beach
  • Slush Gusher – Blizzard Beach
  • Summit Plummet – Blizzard Beach

If you’re curious about any other rides, that would mean there is not height requirement, so hop aboard!

So there you have it, a nice little list you can print out and bring with you or add to you planning worksheets. What we like to do is for all the rides my little one can’t ride yet we just avoid that part of the parks all together. It keeps her from being heartbroken and keeps everyone happy!
