Kevin Feige Reveals Working Title for the Next Spider-Man Movie

Kevin Feige Reveals Working Title for the Next Spider-Man Movie. Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting to hear the official new title for the next Tom Holland led Spider-Man film, but in the meantime Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has shared what the studio has been calling the new title since there has already been a “Spider-Man 3” before.

During a recent interview with ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis about upcoming Marvel works Feige shared, “It’s surreal to me that we’re talking about a Spider-Man 3. I worked on a movie called Spider-Man 3 many years ago directed by Mr. Sam Raimi. So this, clearly, the shorthand of calling it Spider-Man 3 now, it’s fine. We call it Homecoming 3.”

Fans haven’t been the only ones calling the film “Spider-Man 3“, even Tom Holland has made the reference when discussing the upcoming title. Before the news broke about delays due to the pandemic, Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), shared that he has read the script for the third stand-alone Spidey film and even refered to it as “insane.” “I’m super happy about it,” Holland shared with Inquirer.Net, “We will be shooting ‘Spider-Man 3‘ in July in Atlanta.”

Holland also mentioned he hopes to wrap filming for the untitled Spider-Man 3 film by “February of next year,” meaning February 2021. With production currently underway, it looks like the studio may be on schedule to finish Holland’s scenes by then and allow him to move on to new projects. Currently, Both Tom Holland and Zendaya are slotted to reprise their roles as Peter Parker and MJ. Jamie Foxx has joined the cast and is reprising his role as Electro. Benedict Cumberbatch has also reportedly been added to the cast of Spider-Man 3.

Homecoming 3 will see the return of Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Zendaya (MJ), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May) and rumored reprisals by Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doc Oct), Tobey Maguire (Peter Parker), Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Kristen Dunst (MJ), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacey), and more. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Marvel!
