Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream Celebrates National Ice Cream Day

Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream Celebrates National Ice Cream Day All Summer Long with New Baseball-Inspired Flavors. July 19th, 2023 is National Ice Cream Day, and Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream is starting the celebration on June 1st with 3 amazing flavors, and to our childhood delight, you can get it served in a Mini Baseball Helmet! 9 Years of Kelly’s = 9 Innings of Knocking Flavors out of the Park!

There is a very nostalgic feeling that surrounds baseball in America. Furthermore, that nostalgia carries over to Ice Cream, and there are a few things that remind us of being kids at the park. One of those is eating ice cream out of a miniature helmet of our favorite team. The Philadelphia Phillies specifically.

Eating Peanuts and Cracker Jacks, chewing on Double Bubble gum, like the big leaguers. Enjoying our summer days with a Bomb Pop. I am back home on the Fourth of July, waiting for the ice cream truck to swing by, sitting by the Deleware River, and waiting for the Fireworks to go off over the city.

Now you can retrieve a piece of your childhood and share it with your kids with these three new flavors being offered. Plus on July 19th, National Ice Cream Day, get 50% off your counter service order from 11 am to 3 pm.

The Cracker Jack flavor is filled with candied peanuts and caramel popcorn with maple ice cream. Double Bubble is bubblegum ice cream with bubblegum icing.

Which leaves the final flavor of Bomb Pop. I saved this for last because growing up in the Northeast, specifically Philly, we lived off Water Ice aka Italian Ice aka Wooder Ice all summer long. I was actually shocked at how good this was and how true the flavor and presentation were. Cherry, Key Lime, and Blue Raspberry combined to make that distinct flavor come to life. The mouthfeel is so spot on!

OUR SWEET STORY

Local & Handcrafted Ice Cream

Kelly Seidl’s passion for ice cream and people took shape during nursing school when she took a part-time job scooping ice cream. Years later, Kelly and her husband, Scott, moved to Central Florida and discovered there was no local, hand-dipped ice cream – so they decided to make their own!

What began as a living room hobby shared with family + friends soon turned into a farmers’ market cart selling to the public. Their customers loved the ice cream so much that they bought a little pink truck to share their passion with even more people and eventually opened their first Scoop Shop in Orlando in 2015.

Now they have locations all over the Greater Orlando area and the Kelly’s Team gets to make people happy with their homemade ice cream every day!
