Universal Orlando Resort has announced that the bridge between Jurassic Park and The Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure will close. Starting January 22nd, a wall will be put in place to prevent guests from crossing. Visitors will now have to make their way through The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade first, before crossing over to Jurassic Park.
Over the past month, a few small kiosks and food stands have closed in the area along the pathway. This has sparked rumors that space is being prepared for a new attraction. Stay tuned for the latest updates and announcements.
Earlier this month, Jurassic Park River Adventure was closed for annual refurbishment. However, it’s expected to re-open on January 25th and will not be impacted by the closure of the bridge.
Islands of Adventure received the Top Theme Park Award by Trip Advisor in 2018. It has retained this top honor for the past four years. Disney’s Magic Kingdom took the number two spot.
