The Tree of Life is a massive, 145-foot-tall centerpiece that symbolizes the Circle of Life and the interconnected nature of Earth’s creatures. It features over 300 intricate animal carvings visible on its gnarled roots and outstretched branches, representing the diversity and beauty of the animal kingdom. You can explore the Discovery Island Trails around its base for a closer look at these detailed carvings—and keep an eye out for a hidden famous mouse! At its roots, you’ll find Animal Encounters, a serene landscape that provides a home for live animals, including lemurs, kangaroos, flamingos, and tortoises.
