Josh Gad Confirms Frozen 3 Is Officially in Production

The gates of Arendelle are officially reopening! Josh Gad, the voice behind the beloved Olaf, took to Instagram to signal that production on Frozen 3 is finally underway. By sharing a behind-the-scenes look at himself with the film’s creative team, Gad confirmed he is back in the recording booth to bring everyone’s favorite snowman to life once again.

“3rd time is always the charm… Time to build another snowman,” Gad teased in his caption. In the photo, he is seen celebrating with co-directors Jennifer Lee and Trent Correy, alongside producer Christina Chen, as the group proudly held up three fingers to mark the occasion.

While it was already confirmed that Gad would reunite with Kristen Bell (Anna) and Idina Menzel (Elsa), this update marks a major milestone; just last fall, Gad had noted that recording sessions hadn’t yet started. Now, the vocal magic is officially back in progress.

The blizzard of news doesn’t stop there—a fourth film is also currently in development and is being produced alongside the third installment. Fans will be thrilled to know that the legendary songwriting duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are returning to pen the music for both sequels.
